30/60/90 Minute Sessions With a Fully Qualified & Insured Neurodiverse Counsellor
It’s a common experience ... we open up to well meaning friends or family and come away feeling overwhelmed by their feelings or advice, when what you really needed was space. Space to process in your own way. Space to be heard and understood, without judgement, by someone who understands how your mind and body work.
I work with individuals, couples, children, and families, and across all of these relationships the need is very often the same; to experience patient, non judgemental listening. I believe deeply in the value of this and through empathy, care, and lived experience, I offer a space where you can explore your world safely, without worrying about being judged or feeling like a burden. Together, we can make sense of where you are and what feels right for you.
Our sessions move at your pace; we work collaboratively, following what matters most to you. I’ll support you in developing insight and perspective, and where it feels helpful, I may offer gentle psychoeducation or resources to support your wellbeing. Above all, I aim to be fully present, listening to both what is said and unsaid, meeting every part of you with acceptance and respect. We will also be sure to celebrate your strengths and acknowledge each of your wins, as we journey through the counselling process together.
This practice of pausing and processing, is so important in order for life to continue in a different way. Counselling offers a calm, steady space to gently untangle what feels knotted and overwhelming. With time, clarity and self understanding can grow, helping you move forward in a way that feels more grounded, authentic, and sustainable, even when life has felt like too much.
Are you ...
Whatever your worries, I embrace them all.
Autism and ADHD informed counselling offers a space where you don’t have to explain or justify how your mind works. Your differences are understood from the outset, not treated as problems to be fixed. This allows for less masking, less self blame, and more room to be yourself.
Working in a neuro informed way can help you understand yourself and your situation more deeply, and support you in making meaningful changes that feel right for you. We slow things down, work at your pace, and adapt sessions to what actually supports you, whether that’s around sensory needs, communication style, energy levels, or the impact of long term stress and burnout.
The counselling relationship itself is central to our work together. Feeling safe, understood, and respected creates the conditions for change. Through our therapeutic relationship, new perspectives can emerge, along with choices that support your mental health and overall wellbeing.
The aim isn’t to help you survive by masking more, or becoming someone else. It’s to help life feel more manageable, compassionate, and sustainable, in a way that feels right and authentic for you.
Counselling can help you:
As feeling truly heard and understood by another can validate your emotions and experiences. I'll listen not just to respond, but to genuinely understand how life is for you.
Traditional therapy often focuses on changing or resolving difficult parts of yourself, which may leave you feeling like you’ve failed when change doesn’t happen. Together, we won't try to change your neurodiversity, but focus on understanding and acceptance, working with your natural ways of being.
Living as an AuDHD person and having had lots of personal counselling over the years myself, I hope to offer you neuro-affirming sessions, where you feel safe, comfortable and free to be your authentic self.
I understand ...

Choosing the right counsellor is essential. Sharing your feelings takes courage and can leave you feeling vulnerable, so you need to know your experience will be met with respect, warmth, care and sensitivity.
My Person-Centred approach always places you directly at the centre of our work, where your unique experiences will be respected and valued; I believe that you are the expert on your own life. I will simply provide an empathic, non-judgmental, patient and safe environment where you can rediscover your own path, and choose the right solutions for you.
My approach is grounded in authenticity, empathy and a lived understanding of neurodiversity. As a later in life diagnosed AuDHD counsellor, my hope is you will experience a deep, genuine empathy and understanding from me, if you're feeling overwhelmed, isolated or struggling with life - I've been there too. I'm here to share my own experiences, if it would be helpful. I know how powerful it can be to hear, "I get that, too."
